Live-event safety technology

WHEN THE CROWD MOVES,
YOUR TEAM NEEDS TO KNOW.

GigRadar is building the safety and communication layer for live events — connecting security teams, event operations and attendees when coordination matters most.

EVENTS DON'T ALWAYS
GO TO PLAN.

A realistic walkthrough of how a single incident unfolds inside a large venue — and where the operational gaps usually are.

22:41
A major performance ends. Thousands of people begin moving toward the same exit.
22:42
Crowd density increases sharply around the main exit corridor.
22:43
A security officer identifies an incident near Zone C.
22:44
The control room needs to know, in seconds:
WHERE? WHO IS NEAREST? WHO IS RESPONDING? WHAT IS HAPPENING?
GigRadar

One operational view for the people responsible for keeping an event moving safely — so those four questions have answers before the situation gets worse.

The problem

THE OPERATIONAL BLIND SPOT

Security, medical, event management, venue operations and attendees often work with fragmented communication — separate radios, separate group chats, separate assumptions about what's happening.

Connectivity

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN
THE SIGNAL DISAPPEARS?

Tens of thousands of phones in one place overwhelms cellular networks fast. GigRadar's long-term architecture is built around that reality.

Traditional path

Device
Cellular Network
Internet
Cloud

Every link in this chain can fail under crowd load — a single point of congestion breaks the whole path.

Device ↔ device ↔ device ↔ device — an SOS or show-stop alert relays over Bluetooth directly between nearby phones, hopping from device to device with no internet or cellular signal required.

What's built, what's next

Bluetooth mesh relay for SOS and show-stop alerts is built and shipping today — multi-hop, verified working across real devices with zero network connection. Extending that same resilience to the rest of squad connectivity (live location, chat) beyond emergency alerts is the direction the roadmap is heading.

Why GigRadar

DESIGNED AROUND REAL
OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS.

Event-specific safety technology

Built around live-event conditions — dense crowds, short windows to respond, and teams that need to move together.

Communication resilience

An architecture designed with network congestion in mind, not built on the assumption of a perfect connection.

Operational visibility

One shared view for command, security and medical teams instead of siloed radios and group chats.

Security coordination

Designed to help route incidents to the right personnel, with escalation when something goes unacknowledged.

Attendee safety

Squad-level tools that already help groups stay connected and reach each other in a crowd.

African event environments

Designed around South African live-event conditions first, not adapted from a template built elsewhere.
