TERMS OF SERVICE
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using GigRadar, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What GigRadar is
GigRadar is a squad safety and awareness tool for use at events, concerts, and social gatherings ("jols"). It allows groups to track each other's location, set safe zones, and send alerts to squad members.
3. Critical safety disclaimer
- The SOS feature sends an alert to your squad members only. It does not contact South African Police Services (SAPS), emergency medical services, or event security personnel.
- GigRadar does not replace professional security, medical assistance, or venue emergency protocols.
- In a genuine emergency, always contact SAPS (10111) or Emergency Medical Services (10177) directly.
- Location accuracy depends on your device's GPS and internet connection. GigRadar cannot guarantee accuracy at all venues.
- When your device's screen is off or the app is in the background, location updates may be delayed by up to 90 seconds.
By using GigRadar, you acknowledge and accept these limitations.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Only share your location with people you trust and have personally invited to your squad
- Not use GigRadar to stalk, surveil, or monitor anyone without their consent
- Not create false SOS alerts
- Maintain a charged device — GigRadar cannot function on a dead battery
- Inform your squad members of the app's limitations described in section 3
5. Age requirement
You must be 18 years or older to use GigRadar. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.
6. Intellectual property
GigRadar and its technology are the property of LTC Sons (Pty) Ltd. Patent Pending — South African Provisional Patent 2026/00025. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from GigRadar without written permission.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, LTC Sons (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Any injury, loss, or harm suffered at any event while using GigRadar
- GPS inaccuracies or delayed location updates
- Loss of data due to connectivity failure at a venue
- Any reliance on GigRadar as a substitute for professional security
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the KwaZulu-Natal Division of the High Court of South Africa, Durban.
